By the late 1970s, the Victorian railways were experiencing a shortage of suitable grain wagons to haul the vast quantities of grain that needed moving. As a consequence, 810 GY wagons were converted into GHs between 1979 – mid-1980s and allocated the number range 1 – 810
The kit comprises detailed stainless steel etches, detailed instructions, prototype photos, hints, tips and decals.
No drilling for the walkway is necessary as the holes are provided in the casting for ease of construction
